JAMAICAN LASAGNA PREPARATION: recipe:

Instructions:

  1. Put to heat a frying dutch pot. Put your stove's gauge on flame 6. Add no oil and wait for 30 seconds to one minute.
  2. Add the diced onions, garlic to the heat pot. Stir in for 1 minute, and then immedicately add the mince meat.
  3. Add the pepper, the herbs. Add all the seasonings. Allow cooking for 6 minutes, or until browned and cooked properly.
  4. Stir in occasionally!
  5. Drain or remove excess water and oil, when it is finish.
  6. Next, add the tomato paste, stir in for some time, and then add the diced tomatoes, stir in. Remove the pepper, ginger and pimento seeds.
  7. Use the pot's lid to cover properly while it simmers.
    Stir in, and allow simmering for 35 minutes with stove gauge on low.
  8. While you wait for that, put the lasagna noodle to boil in enough water for 9 minutes. Allow the water to come to a boil first, before you add the noddles and set the time.
  9. Once that is complete drain the hot water, and then add cold water and drain again. (Do not leave the cooked noodles in the cold water, it will get soft).
  10. Now, mix in a bowl together the beaten eggs, ricotta part skim cheese, 1/2 cup of parmesan cheese, parsley and 1 teaspoon of sea salt., Mix well, and put aside to use later.
  11. Preheat your oven 8 to 10 minutes, before baking.
  12. Now use a 9 x 13 baking dish. I used a 8 x 11 baking dish, which was packed tight.

    Get ready to lay the ingredients you prepared in a baking dish:

  13. Place 1/3 of the cooked tomatoes mince meat sauce on the bottom.
  14. Next the 4 boiled noodles overlapping, spread 1/2 of the ricotta mixture, sprinkle 1/2 cup of shreddred mozzarela cheese, then spread tomato sauce mixture over that.
  15. Gentle lay the 4 more noodles, the other half of ricotta mixture, 1/2 cup of mozzarela cheese, noodles again. Spread the remaining 1/3 of the tomato meat sauce, and finally sprinkle 1/2 cup of parmesan cheese on top.
  16. Cut a piece of foil, bigger then the baking dish, spread oil evenly to the glossy side.
  17. Now covers the lasagna in the baking dish properly, use the baking dish's lid, if there is one.
  18. Now bake for 30 minutes with oven set at 375 degrees F.
  19. After that, remove the foil, add more parmesan cheese on top, and then bake for 5 minutes uncovered.
  20. You are finish!
  21. Allow to cool before serving.

JAMAICAN LASAGNA

Ingredients:
THIS PART IS THE, TOMATOES AND MINCE MEAT MIXTURE:
• 1 ½ lbs Ground Beef (mince meat)
• 4 Garlic Cloves (crushed fine)
• 1 tablespoon of Parsley (dry or fresh)
• 2 tablespoon of Basil (dry or fresh)
• 1 teaspoon of Oregano (dry or fresh)
• ¼ teaspoon of Rosemary (dry or fresh
• 1 Onion (diced to powder)
• 1 stack of Scallion (diced)
• 1 spring of Thyme (flavouring only)
• ½ of Scotch Bonnet Pepper, (or seedless no heat)
• 4 Pimento Seeds (whole flavouring only)
• small piece of Ginger (just for flavouring only, remove at the end)
• 2 tablespoons of Brown Sugar
• 1½ teaspoon of Sea Salt.

ADD
• one 12oz can of Tomatoes Paste, 2(6 oz. cans),
• one 24 oz. can of Tomatoes (diced),
or 1½ lb of Plum Tomatoes (diced) - This method is best, to me.

THIS IS THE LASAGNA NOODLE INGREDIENTS:

• 13 Lasagna Noodles (boiled, use the extra one to tie the broken ends.)
• 1 lb or 2 cups of Mozzarella Cheese, (shreddred)
• 1 tablespoon of Sea Salt (any salt)

THIS IS THE RICOTTA CHEESE MIXTURE:

• 2 Eggs (beaten)
• 15 oz. Ricotta Cheese (part skim)
• ½ cup Parmesan, (grated)
• 1 teaspoon of Sea Salt (to boil the noodles)

• ½ cup of gratered Parmesan
(sprinkle on the top before baking, and at the end when you are near to finish).

JAMAICAN LASAGNA

Ingredients:
