Instructions:

  • Gizzada recipe:

  • Combine the flour, salt, and baking powder together in a large bowl.
  • Next, add the butter to the flour in small pieces. Use your finger to dilute the butter with the flour.
  • Add the cold water to the buttered flour. Work it out to look like crumbs. Put aside for 25 minutes.
  • Now, remove the shell from the coconut. Cut and grate the coconut.
  • Use a baking board and a rolling pin to roll flat the pastry. It will be heavy..
  • Use your palm hit the pastry to flatten.
  • Use a round clean tool to cut circles, as big as your palm and fingers.
  • Have a container with flour to use anytime you want it.
  • Now, use your fingers, fold the pastry, and then use your fingers to pinch and clamps around forming a cup shape. Make about 8 champs.
  • Next, preheat your oven at 350F eight minutes before baking.
  • Now, grease a baking sheet, and then put the gizzada cups to bake for 10 minutes.
  • Now to do the filling, add a stew pot your stove gauged on low medium frame.
  • Add and combine the grated coconut, the sugar, nutmeg, mixed spices, vanilla and ¼ cup of water.
  • Allow to cook for 8 minutes, while you stir it.
  • Add the butter 4 minutes before you are finish cooking.
  • Now, after that add the coconut mixture to the partially baked gizzada cups.
  • Finally bake it for 18 minutes more. You are finish.

Ingredients
(For the dough)

• 2 cups of Flour
• 1 tablespoons of Baking Powder
• 1 teaspoon of Sea Salt (any salt)
