Ingredients

  • Chicken Breasts, Cut Into Strips (sometimes Called "tenders" Or "strips")
  • 1 + ½ cups of Buttermilk Essence (Cow’s Milk whipped with 1 tablespoon of White Vinegar), or Buttermilk
  • 1-1/2 cup Wheat or White Flour
  • 1 teaspoon of Sea Salt (any sea)
  • 1 small Onion (sliced for flavoring only)
  • ½ Scotch Bonnet Pepper (ripe),
    or use 1 teaspoon of Black Pepper
  • 1 cup of Coconut Oil for frying (any oil is good)

Cooking Instructions

  1. Take the chicken Breast and debone it.
  2. Rinse with white vinegar and water slightly; do not wash the flavor from the chicken breasts.
  3. Next, cut the chicken breast into strips or tenders. Cut alongside the wide, the short side one inch apart.
  4. After that, marinate the chicken strips with the sliced onion, pepper, and sea for 15 to 30 minutes, or even over night.
  5. Next, submerge the chicken strips into the buttermilk for 15 to 20 minutes or longer.
  6. Now, add the flour in another bowl, add a pinch of salt. I am not one use powder seasoning, however if you want add 1 teaspoon of all-purpose powder seasonings, with chicken season.
  7. Mix well.
  8. Next, add about ¼ to ½ cup of buttermilk into the flour mixture, use a fork to stir lightly as you add it.
  9. Place and base the chicken strips the buttermilk and flour mixture.
  10. After that, base the flour mixture thoroughly, and then place them on a plate for frying.
  11. After that, Put to heat a pot, or skillet for frying. Put the stove’s gauge on medium-Hi(6) heat.
  12. Add oil, and allow getting hot for a minute.
  13. Now place the coated chicken strips to the hot oil not touching.
  14. Allow frying on each side for 1 minute and 30 seconds, or until crispy and golden brown.
  15. Serve Jamaican Chicken Tenders with your favorite dipping sauce; Yummy and Delightful Appetizer!
