Ingredients

  • 2 pounds of Guavas
  • 2 cups of Brown Sugar (granulated)
  • 2 large Green Limes
  • 1 cups of Water
  • ΒΌ teaspoon of Salt

Cooking Instructions

  1. First, Wash and clean the over ripen guava. Do not use the guava with worms. Dice them!
  2. Now, blend diced guavas with the water until the seed dissolved and it becomes smooth liquid paste.
  3. After that, add the lime juice only, sugar, and pinch of salt put to boil on medium heat for 40 minutes or until thicken.
  4. Note if you boil this jam with a piece of ginger, that will help preserve it.
  5. Once that is completed, add the jam to a clean jar and seal properly.
  6. Allow to cool before you seal the jar.
  7. Store the guava jam in cool dry place for months.
  8. Grava Jam is spread between slices of bread. Jamaica's children love this snack..
