  • 1.5 pound of Tamarinds
  • 1.5 cup of Sugar,
  • 1 Green Limes, - optional
  • 1 finger of Ginger - equal 2 oz- optional
  • 5 cups of Water.

Cooking Instructions

  1. First, be sure to remove the shell from the tamarinds.
  2. Be sure there is no worm nor dirt on the fruit. 
  3. After that, soak the tamarinds into water for a while.
  4. Use your hand and fingers to work the juice out in the water. You can use a big spoon as well.
  5. Next strain the tamarind juice well. Do so two or three times.
  6. Now you are ready to sweeten the tamarind juice to drink.
  7. Finally add all the ingredients and stir in well. Refrigerate until it is cool.
  8. Serve tamarind drink with ice in a glass cup.
